QLC Bali

Indonesia

QLC Bali was initially started as a language exchange club for local and foreign community members and their allies. Eventually, QLC Bali expanded and became a safer space for many of the queer community in Bali. No longer just a place to hone language skills, QLC is also a place for advocacy and sharing knowledge about SOGIESC and LGBTQIA+ popular culture worldwide. QLC Bali also benefits community members to expand their network, as they come from various professional backgrounds and talents. We have also used our networking to raise money and help community members in need, especially the Trans Women community during the pandemic.

Cocoon

Cambodia

Cocoon is a queer space for everyone: for a more inclusive, caring and creative Cambodia. A cocoon is a safe and brave space for caterpillars to transform into butterflies – they go through a protected process of un-becoming who they were (the cute, fun caterpillars) for them to become who they can be (the beautiful, free butterflies). Cocoon is a dream to be that space for queer people and everyone, a space grounded on curious exploration, nurturing growth, and creative expression. We believe queer people within Phnom Penh deserve a safe and brave space to belong, to heal, to express, to connect, and to thrive together.
