Vietnam

Kamez Nguyen is a dedicated freelance illustrator who wholeheartedly supports love in all its forms. Nguyen’s works capture raw emotion and affection through random moments and subtle gestures.

Kerru

Singapore

Kerru (b. 2004) is a multidisciplinary artist whose works navigate complex socio-political concepts alongside deeply personal explorations of the self. As an individual who is deaf, queer and Asian, she interrogates the taboos of conservative Singaporean society via an aesthetics of maximalist subversion, bringing to light issues traditionally glossed over by the privileged majority, seeking to spark discourse in pursuit of a more equitable future.

Kukasina Ayesha Kubaha

Thailand

Kukasina Ayesha Kubaha is a translator, writer, (aspiring) curator and dreamer of better worlds. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Hamburg, where she is pondering on the question of the archive and how to build a counter-archive of Queer Women in Thailand's Deep South through literature, film and contemporary art.

Dan Ni

Vietnam

Dan Ni (they/them) is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Saigon and Hanoi (Vietnam). Their works explore various themes, ranging from existentialism, urban intimacy, to gender politics, and cultural decay; with an ongoing interest in exploring new material and techniques, as well as the relationship between analogue and digital. Dan Ni is the recipient of the Prince Claus Seed Awards in 2024, and the British Council’s Connection Through Culture Grant in 2021, as well as other grants and funds. Their works have been displayed at Toong Asia, Manzi, The Outpost, and most recently Nổ Cái Bùm art festival.

Dwi Asrul Fajar

Indonesia

Dwi Asrul Fajar’s work studies the psychological facets of the self through the medium of photography, text, and sound, analyzing their layers, structures, and narratives to question or re-articulate their similarities, contrast, and juxtaposition. Received bachelor’s degree in Indonesian Literature from the Faculty of Humanities at Airlangga University, Surabaya - Indonesia (2010). He finished Study on Collective and Contemporary Art Ecosystem at Gudskul, Jakarta - Indonesia (2018-2019).

He is also a producer, working on podcasts tackling various topics such as gender and sexual diversity, human rights and social justice, and environmental issues. Through Love Buzz, a podcast he produced on queer individuals in Indonesia, he initiated photography and podcast workshops in 2021 and 2022 for LGBTIQ+ individuals and allies.

Coleen Gianah Sevillano

The Philippines

Coleen Gianah Sevillano, a Filipino student-artist from the University of the Philippines Diliman, creates work that challenges societal norms and explores the intersections of culture, gender, and art. With a background in the social sciences and a deep passion for art history and visual arts, she conceptualizes her pieces through the lens of these disciplines to engage with pressing political and contemporary social issues. Using visual metaphors and symbolism in her sculptures and paintings, Coleen invites her viewers to reflect on equality, lived struggles, and social truths. Her interdisciplinary approach is amplified by blending the qualities of surrealism, expressionism, and impressionism, producing thought-provoking art in 2D and 3D forms.

Actively involved in the competitive Philippine art scene, Coleen has gained recognition in national competitions in the Philippines, from Shell Corporation, Manila Bulletin, United Nations, and local governments units, among many more. 

Kong Dara

Cambodia

Kong Dara (b. 1990, Prey Veng province) studied art at Sa Sa Art Projects. He worked as a curator at the Villa Gallery and Programmes & Partnerships Manager at COCOON. He was also previously a Residency Coordinator at Sa Sa Art Projects from 2017 until May 2023. Dara works across media including drawing, sculpture, and installation, often using pen and colored pencil on paper and clay. His artwork investigates his personal experience, memory, and emotions, and often reflects on social change and LGBT+ communities. His work has appeared in many group exhibitions at Cambodian and international venues including Ku Bar, Bangkok; Nhà Sàn Collective, Hanoi; SA SA BASSAC, Phnom Penh; Sangker Art Space & Gallery, Battambang; Carol Shen Gallery, New York; and Sa Sa Art Projects, Phnom Penh. He has undertaken several residencies in Cambodia and internationally, including at Open Contemporary Art Center, Taipei; San Art Laboratory, Ho Chi Minh City; Tentacles Art Space, Bangkok; Sangker Art Space & Gallery, Battambang; and Sa Sa Art Projects, Phnom Penh. Dara was a recipient of the Alternative Art School Fellowship (2021).

Khang-Ninh Đặng

Vietnam

Khang-“Ninh” Đặng (Đặng Khang Ninh) is an artist carrying the original queer Saigonese spirit. They practice poetry, songwriting, and vocal performance. They were born in Vinh Long, moved to Ho Chi Minh City at 3 years old, and now live in Vancouver, Canada. They are a writer-in-residence of Collections of Transience’s 2023-2024 Artist Residency Program and a member of the NOTE Music Collective. Their work has been recognized by Vănguard, Seems, and others.

Anna Onni

Singapore

Anna Onni (they/she) is an illustrator and writer who needs to learn how to pack light for everyday adventures. They are a volunteer artist for interesting projects, currently obsessed with zine-making, and trying to pick a good chocolate-chip cookie recipe to stick to. Anna is the author of The Book of Sainted Aunts: The Illustrated Portraits of Mildly Martyred Sinners-Turned-Saints Since Queerdom Come which was published for the 2021 Southeast Asian Queer Cultural Festival. Kiki HQ

Singapore

KikiHQ is a Singapore-based collective working to provide avenues for Singaporean youths interested in Ballroom culture to learn more about it and pick up the skills and basic knowledge to begin their Ballroom journey. Father Irzie Kasicunt 007 (he/him) and Parent Nagfa Sun 007 (she/they) of KikiHQ have been instrumental in developing this Digital Lecture project, having been plugged into the regional Ballroom scene in its early year.
