Queer Care: A Literary Map-Making in The City

Short Documentary | 6’31”
"Queer Care: A Literary Map-Making In The City" critically examines the powerful concept of “queer care,” which I define as the mutual support shared among LGBTQIA+ individuals navigating the complexities of life in the Philippines.
This initiative seeks to amplify queer voices by inviting members from diverse regions to express their thoughts through short letters and poems addressing a crucial question: In a society marked by discrimination, poverty, and violence, what message of care would you like to share with your fellow LGBTQIA+ community? By posting these poignant letters in various public spaces around Metro Manila—on streets, bridges, pathways, and terminals—in multiple languages, we aim to not only foster a sense of solidarity but also challenge the systemic neglect faced by queer individuals, transforming urban landscapes into havens of empathy and support.
