"Tandemonium is the tug of war between power and control –my power to set the rules and play by it and the audiences’ control of how the course of the performance will unfold. It also challenges to show the concern these audiences have and how their power can be extended, made, or perhaps the other way to play around it. From a vision, the world came to fruition. Control became chaos and chaos became control." This performance previously presented at Gender Bender (Sandbox Collective India) in 2022

MRS TAN is a Filipino Drag and Performance artist who uses drag as a medium to tell queer stories that maybe mundane but deep, simple yet heartfelt, passionate and intense in a visually stimulating effect.

MRS TAN is a by-product of the need for political expression, and the want to make a creative statement. She transcends boundaries that limit the art of drag by elevating the vapid, and normalizing the off-kilter. These binaries are what has created a body of workwith solid foundations but is also open to growth.
